Glass Ghost: The Queer Cartography of an Unruly Revenant

This mapping project aims to provide perspective on the Hugh Glass folk legend and historical journey. It geolocates literary source material against historical and archaeological data to provide an ecocritical reading of the 1825 The Missouri Trapper, presenting this alongside film locations of the 2015 film The Revenant. It accompanies an essay which was featured within the Succession II series at the Network in Canadian History and Environment, and was originally published on The Otter / La Loutre on 22 June, 2022.
